“her green plastic watering can, for her fake Chinese rubber plant, in the fake plastic earth, that she bought from a rubber man, in a town full of rubber plans……she looks like the real thing, she tastes like the real thing, my fake plastic love”. #radiohead #fakeplastictrees #forlorn and #faded (Taken with Instagram)
Charlie: You were the one who said we should wait and you were right. We should wait till we get married. Peggy: I know I must have believed that when I said it, but… Doesn’t Lucky Chucky want to come out? Charlie: Who? Peggy: You know, your love machine. Your throbbing thrill hammer. Your thing. Charlie: You mean… my wang?
I started listening to Guadalupe Plata very recently and came across this video for their second track off their self-titled album. The track is called Lorena; Presumably about a girl named Lorena; or “Lorena”, being an allegorical name pertaining to all hot women who are willing to jump onto the backs of strange invisible motobikes powered by slippery feet . I love this video and the song is a great accompaniment to it, or vice verse. Which ever way, this song/video/video/song deserves my recognition. After watching, think to yourself and wonder how each person’s glutes felt 2 days after shooting. Bravo!

Recently, I decided to look into getting a membership for the YMCA - one of those “assistance” type of memberships. Before sitting down with a YMCA rep., they gave me a pamphlet with a budget table on it. They instructed me to fill it out before before coming in to sign up. After I had filled out each applicable box on this table - scratched out mistakes included - I realized that I am disgustingly poor. Upon this realization began the feeling of a hollow pit etching itself out at the bottom of my stomach, causing searing pain, forcing me to loose my breath and suffocate; however though, at the same time, I admired my ability of as to how well I can pull off not seeming to be as poor as I really am. I raise my glass of cheap wine and say ‘to hell with poverty’ - here and all around.
I was introduced to ‘Mushroom jazz’ tonight. I’ve listened to this genre of music but never knew the proper name. Since learning about ‘Mushroom Jazz’ I am now discovering a bunch of groups I have never heard before. It feels just like Christmas!
